Made from much heavier grade aluminium than most frame supported bars this gives the Avon glazing bar the strength to span across purlins up to 600mm centres. This strong core is then clad with the PVC bottom and top caps to give it a great look and thermal insulation. Despite the great design, and heavy duty materials we sell this in such large numbers that the price is cheaper than most of the competitions inferior bars, and if price is the ultimate goal for you then please look at our Glen and Hawk ranges.

The Avon glazing bar has developed into a range, with the ability to take 16mm & 25mm polycarbonate sheets in one bar and 35mm & 40mm polycarbonate sheets in the other. The accessories include the Avon eaves retainer, which eliminates the need for the fixing buttons that penetrate the sheet at the beam end on a traditional timber installation, and PVC wall flashing to use instead of lead.

We understand that using polycarbonate roofing may be new to you, and you may not understand what part goes where and how much you need of each, this is why at the bottom here we have an easy to use installation guide to download in a PDF format and a video showing the parts being assembled. We have even created a clever parts calculator that will work out all the components and quantities you need for your roof, you can then in a few clicks add it to the express shopping form, then add it to the basket ready for checkout. Try it for yourself and see how easy it is to get the bits for your lean-to roof.
