These use a hex head and so are most normally installed with a cordless drill and a nut driver, and commonly used in conjunction with our plastic-coated steel corrugated sheets. The point of these are cut to have a drill type head on them so that often pre-drilling is not required and removes a step from the installation process and saves time.
