How to Install Hygienic Wall Cladding: A Step-by-Step Guide

Installing hygienic wall cladding is a straightforward process that ensures a clean and professional finish to the room. Follow these steps to achieve the best results:

1. Preparation

Clean and Dry Walls: Ensure the walls are smooth, clean, and dry. Remove any debris or old coverings.
Protective Film: Keep the protective film on the panels until installation is complete to prevent damage.

2. Measuring

Laser Level: Use a laser level to mark a datum line on the wall.

Accurate Measurements: Measure the wall and mark the panels accordingly, accounting for utilities like pipes and sockets.

3. Cutting / Shaping

The panels can be cut using a range of fine-tooth saws but ensure sheets are secure and minimal vibrations. Tools include:

  • Hand saw.
  • Circular saw.
  • Jigsaw.
  • Multi tools.
  • Metal drill bits (great for socket corners).
  • Hole saws (great for pipes).
  • File / sand paper for edges.

4. Installation

Apply Adhesive: Ensure an even coverage over large surface area, with either the gunnable or 2 part adhesives.

Press Panels: Press the panels firmly onto the wall, ensuring a tight fit.

Trims: Use the trims for any joint or corners.

5. Additional Methods

Thermoforming: Bend panels over a heat strip to fit corners precisely.

Heat Welding: For a seamless finish, use a heat welding gun to apply weld rod between panels.

By following these steps, you can ensure a high-quality installation of hygienic wall cladding that meets professional standards.
