10mm Bathroom / Shower Panels

Why use large bathroom shower panels? 

Large shower panels / bathroom cladding is used instead of tiles for fast, good-looking, and low-cost bathroom renovations with the premium feel. Stocked in both our London & Kent trade counters to collect for same day turnaround or have them delivered.

The 2400mm x 1000mm panels are 100% waterproof and each panels slots together seamlessly for a waterproof seal and can be installed onto almost any surface. With there being no grout line, the room is also easier to clean and prevent mould.

The panels are 10mm thick and made from PVC, making them lightweight, sturdy, fire resistant and much easier to cut and shape than tiles.

Tools and Materials Needed to Install PVC Bathroom Panels

  • PVC wall panels
  • Measuring tape
  • Level
  • Pencil
  • Saw (preferably a fine-tooth saw)
  • Adhesive (suitable for PVC)
  • Screws and drill
  • Safety gear (gloves, goggles)

Panel Installation Steps

Preparation

  • Measure Your Space: Start by measuring the height and width of the walls where you plan to install the panels. This will help you determine the number of panels needed.
  • Acclimate the Panels: Allow the PVC panels to acclimate to the room temperature before installation.
  • Clean the Surface: Ensure the wall surface is clean, dry, and free of any debris.

Cutting the Panels

  • Mark the Panels: Using a pencil and measuring tape, mark the panels to the required size.
  • Cut the Panels: Cut the panels to size using a fine-tooth saw. Ensure the cuts are straight and clean and any dust removed from the board.

Installing the Panels

  • Position the Panels: Start at one corner of the wall and position the first panel. Use a level to ensure it is straight.
  • Secure the Panels: Press the panel firmly against the wall.

Finishing Touches

  • Trim and Edges: Install trim pieces around the edges and corners for a polished look.
  • Seal the Joints: Apply a suitable sealant to the joints and edges to prevent moisture ingress.
  • Repeat the Process: Continue installing the remaining panels, ensuring each panel is aligned correctly.

PVC Panel Cleaning

  • Cleaning Products to Use: PVC panels are easy to clean. Use a mild detergent and a soft cloth to wipe down the panels. Use soft sponges.
  • Cleaning Products NOT to Use: Avoid strong chemicals and cleaners, do not use abrasive / cream cleaners, harsh chemicals or scourer as they can damage the panels.
