Here is a brief rundown of the different types of glazing bars we have and some key characteristics: 

 

Glen Glazing Bars :

  • Very low cost option.
  • All PVC construction and require support under its entire length.
  • Available in white or brown
  • Suitable for 6mm and 10mm polycarbonate multiwall.

 

Hawk Glazing Bars :

  • Middle to low cost glazing bar.
  • White PVC Top cap and aluminium base requiring support under its entire length.
  • Slim line at only 50mm wide.
  • Suitable for 10mm, 16mm and 25mm polycarbonate sheet.

 

Avon Glazing Bars :

  • Quality constructed glazing bar with thicker extrusions:
  • Can span across purlins up to 600mm (2ft) centres .
  • Thermally broken with ridged PVC top and bottom caps.
  • Bar is 60mm wide for easy installation.
  • Available for 16mm & 25mm or 35mm & 40mm thick polycarbonate sheets.


Vale Glazing Bars :

  • Designed with a screw down aluminium top which is covered with PVC capping.
  • Suitable to be used with glass.
  • Requires support under the entire length.

 

Peak 100 Glazing Bars:

  • Self-supporting glazing bars for up to 4M projections.
  • PVC thermally broken capping.
  • Suitable for 16mm & 25mm polycarbonate sheets.
  • Wall plate and beam available.
  • Side glazing beads for progressive single roof panel installation assembly. 

 

York Glazing Bars:

  • Self-supporting glazing bar for up to 4M projections.
  • PVC thermally broken capping.
  • Different versions to accept differing sheet thickness / budget’s.
  • Easy to install for simple roofs with single piece snap down top cap.
